People Bring Christmas its Meaning
Carry the story and your gift into Aurora’s theatre
Step inside the Gift Givers Guildhall, a Victorian Christmas world of timber, brass, lanterns and marvellous machinery. Ethelred, the Grand Elf, and his fellow elves welcome your family into a working Guild where every message has a destination and every gift has a purpose.
But this is more than a place to prepare presents. When something interrupts the Christmas preparations, the elves discover that the most important ingredients cannot be made by a machine. They need kindness, generosity and care—and a little help from the children.
Each child receives an envelope and finds its place among the Guild’s child-height mail slots. Names, pictures and symbols help little ones join in, even before they can read
Follow the parcels and listen for tiny footsteps. A paw print, a disappearing object or a fleeting shadow might be the only sign that the Christmas Mice are close.
Join a team and help turn the wheels of Kindness, Generosity and Care. It takes everyone working together to help the Guild’s Christmas machinery come to life.

Whittle is a machinery expert who likes things done the traditional way. A little grumpy and unsure about the mice, he has something to learn about accepting help.
Energetic, playful and ready to lend a hand. Elfgyva helps children find their mail slots, join their teams and take their place in the adventure.
The mice are friendly, industrious and a little mischievous. You may hear or glimpse evidence of their work, but they prefer to keep themselves a mystery.
Three great wheels carry three important words. As the children work together, those words become something they can do: help someone, share what they have and take care of others.
The elves bring their skill. The mice bring their ingenuity. The children bring their energy. Every helper has a part to play.
Picture symbols make the letter-sorting task accessible to children who cannot yet read. Elfgyva, the Guild Assistant, helps children find their way through the activities.
Families take part together, with the elves guiding each task.
The adventure ends with an invitation to join the Gift Givers Guild. Children promise to be kind, generous and caring, and Ethelred welcomes them as Apprentice Gift Givers.
They leave with Christmas Sparkle—a bottle of bubbles to keep closed until Aurora invites them to use it in the next adventure. The story carries straight into Aurora’s All-Elf Theatre, where their new responsibility has a part to play.
“Elves make the gifts. Mice help them on their way. But people who are kind, generous, and care for others give Christmas its meaning—and its magic.”
The Gift Givers Guildhall is the fifth of seven Full Journey experiences. It follows the Winter Garden and leads into Aurora’s All-Elf Theatre.
Explore Dickens’ Lane and Clement’s Study, meet Father Christmas, wander the Winter Garden and join the Guild. Then enjoy Aurora’s theatre before spending time in the Village Square & Children’s Market.
The Pre-School Journey and Village Square ticket do not include the Gift Givers Guildhall. Choose the Full Journey to take part in this experience.
The Guildhall is part of your guided Full Journey rather than a separately booked attraction. Follow your journey team as your group moves between chapters.
The adventure includes machinery sounds, bells, lighting changes and bubbles. Contact the team before booking if your family has sensory or accessibility questions.
The Gift Givers Guildhall is included in the Full Journey. It is not included in the Pre-School Journey or the Village Square ticket.
Children post an envelope into its matching mail slot, follow clues about the Christmas Mice and work together at the wheels of Kindness, Generosity and Care before becoming Apprentice Gift Givers.
No. The letter-sorting task uses pictures and symbols alongside names, and the elves help children take part.
The mice remain mysterious. Tiny footsteps, paw prints, fleeting shadows and small disturbances suggest that they are helping nearby, without fully revealing them.
Christmas Sparkle is the Guild’s name for bubbles. Children receive a bottle to carry into Aurora’s All-Elf Theatre and keep it closed until Aurora invites them to use it.
The current experience plan allows around 12–15 minutes. Final running time may change as the production is rehearsed.
The Guildhall is part of the Full Journey. A separate Guildhall-only ticket is not available, and the Guildhall is not part of the Pre-School or Village Square Journeys.
Choose the Full Journey to include the Gift Givers Guildhall, then look for sessions marked SEND when selecting your date and time. Dedicated SEND sessions run at reduced capacity, with quieter music and reduced lighting effects.
